Filipino is the national language (Wikang pambansa / Pambansang wika) of the Philippines, and one of the two official languages of the country, with English. It is a standardized variety of Tagalog based on the native dialect, spoken and written, in Metro Manila, the National Capital Region, and in other urban centers of the archipelago. The 1987 Constitution mandates that Filipino be further enriched and developed by the other languages of the Philippines.
Filipino is also spoken natively by inhabitants living on the islands, Marinduque, Mindoro, and large areas of Palawan. It is spoken by approximately 64 million Filipinos, 96% of the household population. An estimated 22 million, or 28% of the total Philippines’ population, speak it as a native language.

SEMI-PRIVATE FILIPINO LANGUAGE CLASSClass Size
Lingo's exclusive semi-private Filipino language classes have benefited many students over the years. It is proven that being in smaller class sizes when learning languages does speed up the learning process due to the greater interaction between you, your teacher and your classmates. Learning the Filipino language is best done in a small group class size as it is a skill-based training which requires lots of practice. The semi-private Filipino language courses are customizable according to your needs, including the schedule, time, frequency, materials and syllabus. Filipino language lessons held outside Lingo are subject to transportation charges. Our minimum package is 24 hours.
