Withdrawal for Cause

LINGO shall inform the student immediately within three (3) working days for the following circumstances:

  • School fails, for any reason, to commence the Course on the Commencement Date
  • School terminates the Course for any reason prior to the completion of the Course
  • School is in material breach of its obligations under this agreement

LINGO shall, within seven (7) working days of notifying the student in writing of the above circumstances, provide the student with information and details of the alternative confirmed course arrangements to allow the student to make timely and appropriate decision on the alternative arrangement.

Student can choose to accept the alternative arrangement and transfer within LINGO to another class of choice.

Should the Student choose not to accept alternative arrangements (after 2 months of class alternative arrangements) and request a full refund, he/she shall fill up Lingo’s "Withdrawal & Refund Form" and submit the duly signed original form by hand or scan copy to LINGO's front desk at our registered address as stated on our website or email to This email address is being protected from spambots. LINGO shall, within three (3) working days, after receiving the Student's Withdrawal and Refund Form, ascertain and validate the reason as Withdrawal for Cause.

Upon confirmation of the reason and with Management's approval, not exceeding ten (10) working days from receipt of Student’s Withdrawal and Refund Form, the School shall refund the following:

  • The entire amount of the Course Fees collected for the course
  • All Miscellaneous Fees collected for the course

Withdrawal without cause

For students who withdraw from the Course for any reasons other than Lingo not being able to form a class requested upon the student’s initial registration, their cases will be classified under Withdrawal without cause category.

He/she shall request for a meeting with our Course Coordinator who will work with the student to complete the Withdrawal & Refund Form (should there be still any fees outstanding to the student).

LINGO's management will, within five (5) working days from submission date, review and process the forms. Upon final approval, we will refund the student within ten (10) working days from submission date, according to the "Withdrawal & Refund Policy Table" of the school after deducting any administrative bank charges paid or payable.

If classes fail to commence by within 2 months from registration date, a full refund will be processed.

LINGO strives to be a caring organization and our Management is willing to consider genuine cases of withdrawal prior to or soon after course comments, subject to a case by case basis. Upon approval, our School’s refund policy shall still apply.

Refund Procedure

  • Student completes the Refund request form available at the front desk and upon completion of the form, submits it to the front desk receptionist.
  • On receiving the Refund request form, LINGO will proceed to seek approval for the refund. Meeting(s) with the student involved may be arranged if necessary. If the student is not of legal age, the parents/guardian will be notified.
  • If the refund is not approved, a representative from our school will contact the student or representative to explain the outcome and reasons for the decision

If the refund is approved, a representative will inform and notify the student through phone or email about the decision and arrange a date for the student to visit the school and sign on the Refund request form to collect the cheque.


Dispute Resolution Policy

LINGO has a documented close-loop feedback and complaint management system in place to gather and address all feedback/complaints received (either from the public, staff or students).

We treat students' grievances, disputes and appeals as our important feedback. We have staff specially assigned to manage students' welfare, including the handling of their feedback and complaints according to our procedures. We are committed to resolving any feedback/complaint received within 21 working days. If the complaint is not resolved amicably within the stipulated period, it will be channeled to Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC), Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SIArb) or the Small Claims Tribunal for mediation.
