Picking up a new language can be daunting without the proper environment and methods. Lingo is designed to help you master a language in all aspects – whether it's listening, reading, speaking, or writing.

We may be a local language centre in Singapore, but the language courses we offer are truly global. We teach a wide variety of languages, with a focus on conversational skills. Our languages taught include English, Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean, Bahasa Indonesian, Malay, German, Italian, Turkish, Spanish, Thai, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hebrew, Cantonese, Russian, Burmese, Hindi, Filipino and many others. All our teachers are highly qualified and experienced native speakers so you can be assured of learning the most accurate form of language.

We provide examination preparation programs tailored to your skill level and objectives for the following tests: IELTS (English), DELE (Spanish), DELF (French), CELI (Italian), TESTDAF (German), CAPLE (Portuguese), HSK (Chinese), JLPT (Japanese), TOPIK (Korean), UKBI (Indonesian), SKBMW (Malay), and TPT (Thai).

Choose from private, semi-private, group classes, or virtual online lessons to embark on your language learning journey. To ensure quality instruction, each class accommodates only 1-10 students, guaranteeing individual attention for every learner. Common reference levels

The Common European Framework divides learners into three broad divisions that can each be further divided into two levels; for each level, it describes what a learner is supposed to be able to do in reading, listening, speaking and writing. The following table indicates these levels. A more thorough description of each level, with criteria for listening, reading, speaking, and writing, is available on the Internet.

A Basic user	A1 Breakthrough or beginner	Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Can introduce themselves and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where they live, people they know and things they have. Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.
A Basic user	A2 Waystage or elementary	Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. Can describe in simple terms aspects of their background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
B Independent user	B1 Threshold or intermediate	Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. Can deal with most situations likely to arise while travelling in an area where the language is spoken. Can produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest. Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
B Independent user	B2 Vantage or upper intermediate	Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization. Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
C Proficient user	C1 Effective operational proficiency or advanced	Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer clauses, and recognize implicit meaning. Can express ideas fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.
C Proficient user	C2 Mastery or proficiency	Can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read. Can summarize information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation. Can express themselves spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations.

Lingo School

What is the duration of each course for each language?

There are a total of 12 lessons in each course, and each lesson lasts 1.5 hours. We are also able to arrange private lessons, which are more flexible in timing and cater to the student(s)’ learning requirements.

How much are the cost fees?

It depends on which course and language that you are keen in. Fees for the Basic, Intermediate and Advanced level varies. For more information, please refer to the respective language’s page.

What are the payment methods?

Should you wish to pay by NETS, cash or cheque, please come down to our Headquarters located at Bugis to pay before the course commences. To pay via credit card, simply register online before the course commences and you can pay via PayPal.

Will I get any refund if I wish to terminate or withdraw from the course?

Are the teachers native speakers of their respective language?

Yes, all of our teachers are native speakers of their respective language.

How do I register?

You may do so by clicking the “ENROL” button next to the course that you are intending to enroll in. You will then be brought to a page where you are required to fill up your particulars. Complete the registration form online and pay via PayPal to register for the course.

What does the “(T)” stands for?

This stands for tentatively. The class commencement date and time will be confirmed once we have enough registered participants. Just choose your preferred day and time for lessons and we will notify you when the class is commencing.

How much do you charge for private lessons?

The rate is dependent on the language and the duration the student has signed up for lessons. How long is the course validity?

The participant(s) agrees to complete the course within 1 year from the date of the first lesson. Lingo has the right to refuse to provide further lessons to the student after the expiry of the 1 year time period.

The location of the school is very convenient, just behind liang seah street near bugis MRT. The school is filled during weekday night classes, though the class size remains small and comfortable.
